We meet twice a month where we do an hour workout for our bodies then an approx. 10 min devotional time, followed by 15-30 min of small group discussion. No Membership required for this event, it is free to attend. Come sweat and connect! All levels of faith and fitness welcome. All workouts can be modified to meet you where you are at. Each message and discussion is independent, so come and connect! This small group is created for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, who has wrestled with questions such as "God, do you see me?," "God, why are you silent?," "What is the good in this?" This is a safe space to connect with others at River Valley Church who are grieving the loss of loved ones, pray for each other about the difficult and disappointing times we've faced and are continuing to face, and learn to lament in a Biblical way. We will be meeting once or twice a month over coffee and light breakfast. Grief and loss can feel so isolating, but God does not want us to walk it out alone. We would love to walk alongside you and together seek God amidst the joy and sorrow! Kids are welcome to come -- there will be unstructured play time.

This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.

Join us for our small group as we read ” Finding God in the Waves” by Mike McHargue. Mike shares how his faith dissolved into atheism as he studied the Bible, a crisis that threatened his identity. Years later, he finds his way back to faith! Together we will learn what brain scans reveal about what happens when we pray; how God is revealed not only in scripture but also in the night sky, in subatomic particles, and in us. All are welcome in-person and online as we read, learn, and sharpen our faith.
