This group is for women who wants to be accountable with each other and be iron sharpening iron. We will be following the SOAP reading plan and dive deeper into His word and pray for each other. To be part of this group, we are asking the members to commit to follow the SOAP reading plan as much as they can, agree to pray for the other women in the group and be open and honest about your walk with Christ so we can encourage and challenge each other!

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage, experience and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit and how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Are you ready to get started? Empower is open to anyone at River Valley that has been through our core groups Alpha and Freedom. If you have not done 1 or both of them yet, we would strongly encourage attending those small groups before attending Empower. It will be helpful to you for receiving what God has in store for you. Empower will meet on campus on Tuesday nights, 6:30pm-8pm, from September 26 thru November 21.

Have you ever wanted to hear God's voice, but not sure if it was His voice you are hearing? Scripture is our guide as we read and explore God's plan for our lives. If you have questions, if you are seeking Truth - Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience His Promises, Truths, and Commands in this weekly study. Practice listening for God's calling on your life. This group meets weekly in the Mound/Minnetrista area.

This small group is created for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, who has wrestled with questions such as "God, do you see me?," "God, why are you silent?," "What is the good in this?" This is a safe space to connect with others at River Valley Church who are grieving the loss of loved ones, pray for each other about the difficult and disappointing times we've faced and are continuing to face, and learn to lament in a Biblical way. We will be meeting once or twice a month over coffee and light breakfast. Grief and loss can feel so isolating, but God does not want us to walk it out alone. We would love to walk alongside you and together seek God amidst the joy and sorrow! Kids are welcome to come -- there will be unstructured play time.

This group was initiated and will be lead by my 5 year old son (Misha). He shared with me a message he heard from Jesus and wanted to obey Jesus' command. "Mommy, Jesus says we need to pick up trash and save the animals. We need to tell people to do this." He has been very persistent for months that he needed to do what Jesus told him. When he learned that our church has groups, he asked to lead one to pick up trash. We have adopted Apple Ponds Park in Apple Valley and will be maintaining the park once a month. This may include picking up trash, planting flowers, and/or pulling weeds from a planter or around a sign. Misha encourages other kids to join him and to play with him after clean up. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed. We will meet once per month. The time of day may fluctuate depending on season.

Sisterhood is a group where women can find fulfillment and belonging at River Valley Church. This season we are going to explore different characteristics that make a healthy community! This group starts on January 24th and will end on March 28th. You can join this group no matter what age or stage of life you’re in. You also can come at any time! You are always welcome at Sisterhood no matter when you decide to come. Let this be a safe place for you to grow in your relationship with God and build healthy relationships with other women. We can't wait to welcome you! Free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Sisterhood session. The childcare registration link will be posted soon!

At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Explore will begin on Monday, September 18, and will meet from 6:00-8pm at the Minnetrista Campus by the Fireside. It is a 7-week group and will end on October 30.
