God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Are you ready to take action to love our city well? Every Friday River Valley Church partners with the ICCM Life Center. Teams hit the streets of Minneapolis to love our neighbors and build relationships! By joining this small group, you will be able to connect with others from your campus that are serving in this capacity. You can serve as often as it works for your schedule (details on how to sign up for Fridays will be shared from your small group leader - Lisarah. Schedule: 6:30-7pm - at the Life Center for a time of prayer and worship. 7pm - load up the Life Center buses with food, drink, clothing, and other essentials. We will drive to various parts of the city focused on encampments, bus stops, and shelters. Throughout the night we will meet people, build relationships, and share the love of Jesus while providing food, clothing, prayer, and so much more. 9pm - debrief, testimonies and encouragment.
