Alpha is an intentional place where we can have honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time, you’re new to faith, or exploring Christianity, Alpha is a safe place where you can ask questions and get answers. Each week we will share a meal together as we discuss our topic for the night. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off-limits. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Wednesdays September 11 thru October 30, 6:30-8pm.

This group is open to homeschooled children whose Moms attend Shakopee Sisterhood Wednesday mornings and are of school age (K-12). This group will follow the Fall Sisterhood curriculum, rewritten for school aged, and students will be taught by the Moms attending on a once a semester rotation. Our group of men meets every Tuesday year round! Depending on the season their are usually between 8-14 who attend each Tuesday. Ages range from 21-60. It's ok if you can't make every week. Just join a Small Group! We would love to meet you and share in the Fun, Fellowship, Service, Faith and ups and downs of Life! Some activities have included CCW courses, Feed My Starving Children, Community Service projects, dinners, shooting, fishing…..share your ideas on how we can grow together and build leaders. Topics include Freedom, Surrender, Gratitude, Prayer, Forgiveness, Obedience, and Generosity. ANYONE can join this group! Whether you are new to faith or have been walking this journey for a long time, we encourage you to join us and strengthen your walk with Jesus.

Trust is the one thing that changes everything, says Stephen M. R. Covey. Whether you are trying to recover from trust-breaking behaviors in the past or want to invest in your most important relationships for the future, this 7-week small group will help you implement five key practices you need to enjoy the benefits of being a trusted man. Some tough truths about trust: — Too many men who are trustworthy are not trusted. It is dangerous to assume you are trusted by others just because you feel you are trustworthy. — You do not know how trusted you really are until the relationship encounters risk or a crisis. — Relational interactions are never neutral. Unless you know how to build trust intentionally, trust is probably eroding—because you're like every human that makes mistakes. The good news is that in the same way relationships improve when you can speak another person's love language, trust grows when you can take your eyes off yourself and discover how to act in a way that resonates with what the other person values. This small group is open to all men, but will especially benefit men who are single (unmarried or divorced), engaged, newly married, or have children. The content is accessible to anyone on his faith journey and also to the unchurched (if you want to invite someone not attending River Valley). This 90-minute small group will have a significant amount of interaction to maximize personal growth: — 30 minutes with a few others to share wins and challenges from the previous week — 30 minutes to learn new Trusted Men content through live instruction and then ask questions — 30 minutes of guided conversation in small groups to discuss how each person can implement that week's content in two important relationships Take a 7-week journey with others seeking to be Trusted Men so that you can be building trust intentionally, and not just think you have it or deserve it.

In Explore, we walk through the great commission that Jesus gave to his followers before He left this earth. Our mandate is to make disciples from every part of the world. Each and every one of us has a part to play in that, whether it is to pray, to mobilize others, to send or to go! This group is for everyone to discover how God wants to use them to accomplish His great commission. We meet from 6:30pm - 8pm starting on September 9th - November 4. Note: not meeting on September 23rd, due to Sparkle week. No childcare for 0-5yrs old. Elementary programming available.
