This 13-week grief recovery seminar and support group is a video seminar series that features Christian experts on grief and recovery topics as seen from a Biblical perspective. Join us as we serve meals with The Union Gospel Mission on the first and third Sundays of each month from 5:00pm-7:00pm! You can park anywhere in our lot, even in spots designated as staff only. You can enter through the Bethel Hotel entrance and our front desk staff will direct you to our kitchen area. Once you arrive in the kitchen, our kitchen staff will give instructions on how to serve the meal. We will provide everything you need, and our kitchen staff will be present the entire time to help and support you. Welcome Home is your first step at River Valley Church. You were created for a purpose and we want to help you discover that purpose! You will build community, understand how God made you and dive deeper in your walk with Jesus. We can’t wait to meet you! We will meet on Sundays at 9:00-10:00AM for 4 weeks at the Apple Valley Campus on September 10, 17, 24 & October 1. Once Welcome Home is complete, we encourage you to find another small group where you can continue growing in your faith as you build friendships. You are free to check children into the Children's ministry area for ages 6 weeks through 5th grade after 8:45AM.

Empower | Apple Valley Fall 2023

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Monday beginning September 25th through November 20th, 6:30 to 8:00. We will be meeting in the Lounge. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower.

Explore is a Core Group designed to inspire and enlarge your global heart as we study the biblical basis of missions and hear from some of our great missionaries. At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Explore will meet every Tuesday beginning on Tuesday, September 26th and ending on Tuesday, November 21st, Dinner is not provided. Childcare is provided and parents can drop them off at 6:15pm.
