There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage, experience and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Are you ready to get started? This is a 10-week weekly small group specifically directed to young men ages 16-29. We'll discuss R. Kent Hughes' book "Disciplines of a Godly Man," an incredibly practical guide about how to live your life the way God wants you to live it. We'll cover two chapters a week for ten weeks with each guy reading them in advance followed by a 90-minute weekly group discussion. Disciplines include purity, marriage, fatherhood, friendship, mind, devotion, prayer, worship, integrity, tongue, work, perseverance, church, leadership, giving, witness, and ministry. Seventeen disciplines that are essential to live a godly life. The book can be obtained online from Amazon for about $15. If you need discipleship, this group is for you.

Explore | City Fall 2023

Explore is a Core Group designed to inspire and enlarge your global heart as we study the biblical basis of missions and hear from some of our great missionaries. At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Wednesdays September 20 thru November 7, 6:30pm-8pm. Doors open and check in will be available beginning at 6pm. We will conclude our group by serving together on our 9th week - Tuesday Nov. 14 at 7pm in Coon Rapids (ages 5+ are welcome to attend)
