DivorceCare is a biblically based, Christ-centered support group seminar. Each session shows a 30-minute video followed by a small group discussion about the video. The DivorceCare videos present experts, ministers, and Christian counselors discussing divorce-related issues such as depression, anger, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Real people share their stories of how they deal with the pain and heartbreak of divorce and separation. During the week between meetings, group members complete a daily Bible study and practical exercises to help them heal from their hurt and pain. DivorceCare is for people who are separated or divorced.

Together for Good offers tangible opportunities to come alongside vulnerable children and isolated parents. Volunteers offer practical help by hosting children during times of parental crisis, providing respite care for exhausted parents, and surrounding families with ongoing relational support through a network of care. This group will provide awareness and information and will have action steps for those who would like future engagement.

This is a 10-week weekly small group specifically directed to young men ages 16-29. We'll discuss R. Kent Hughes' book "Disciplines of a Godly Man," an incredibly practical guide about how to live your life the way God wants you to live it. We'll cover two chapters a week for ten weeks with each guy reading them in advance followed by a 90-minute weekly group discussion. Disciplines include purity, marriage, fatherhood, friendship, mind, devotion, prayer, worship, integrity, tongue, work, perseverance, church, leadership, giving, witness, and ministry. Seventeen disciplines that are essential to live a godly life. The book can be obtained online from Amazon for about $15. If you need discipleship, this group is for you.

Sisterhood is a group where women can find fulfillment and belonging at River Valley Church. This group will begin on Tuesday, September 26 and end on Tuesday, November 27. You can join this group no matter what age or stage of life you’re in and can come at any time! Let this be a safe place for you to grow in your relationship with God and build healthy relationships with other women. We can't wait to welcome you! Childcare is available on a limited basis. This small group (led by Gayle Cousins - assisted by Kim Kissner-Admin) is for all men and women, for the purpose of learning about, and engaging in, intercessory prayer in a corporate setting. This is for anyone interested in this type of prayer whether you have had very little experience or a lot!! We will all learn from the Holy Spirit, and from one another, as to how to "pray in" the Kingdom of God, and to pray what is on God’s heart! There will be a short teaching at the beginning of each session and the rest of the session will be engaging in prayer. We would love to see you there!! We will normally meet on the 4th Sunday evening each month, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm - Feb 12, March 26, April 23, May 28, June 25, July 23, Aug 27, Sept 24, Oct 22 & Nov 26. We are very flexible on the capacity/number attending believing for interest and growth during this year of "Taking Ground!" Prayer is the foundation for the Church, for healthy growth, strength and unity, and for future revival!!
