Ephesians 3:12 says, "In Christ we come before God with freedom and without fear. We can do this because of our faith in Christ." Join us this semester as we look at what the Bible says it means to live in freedom as we study the book of Ephesians. Sisterhood is a group where women can find fulfillment and belonging at River Valley Church. This season we are going to explore different characteristics that make a healthy community! This group starts on Tuesday, September 26th and will end on November 21st. You can join this group no matter what age or stage of life you’re in. You also can come at any time! You are always welcome at Sisterhood no matter when you decide to come. Let this be a safe place for you to grow in your relationship with God and build healthy relationships with other women. We can't wait to welcome you! Free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This nine-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower. (Thursday nights from 6:30 pm - 8 pm, starts September 14)

Empower is open to anyone at River Valley that has been through our Alpha; if you have not attended Alpha you will need to sign up for that. If you’ve ever felt like you just can’t get in control of your money, you’re not alone. You’d be surprised how many people you know are struggling just like you. But it’s time for that struggle to end—starting when you take a Financial Peace University class. In this course, you’ll learn biblical and commonsense ways of handling money. We will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 7pm from September 26th through November 14th. Join us for this 10 session study of Exodus 1–18 as we explore and discover with Bible Teacher Jen Wilkin that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin, and from service to the pharaohs of the world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell and worship Him as the one true God.
