This session we will go through the new book "Blended & Redeemed," the Go-To field Guide for the modern step-family by Scott & Vanessa Martindale. We meet every other Sunday night at the Wexlers near the Apple Valley Campus. No childcare is provided, due to the sensitivity of topics covered.

Explore is a Core Group designed to inspire and enlarge your global heart as we study the biblical basis of missions and hear from some of our great missionaries. At River Valley, our heart is global because God’s heart is global. That’s why we believe that every follower of Jesus Christ should explore and know their role within God’s Great Commission. Group will begin promptly at 6:30pm and end at 8pm each Tuesday September 26 thru November 21.

Freedom is a Core Group that equips you to live a victorious faith. Sometimes, we are simply unaware of lies we believe and wrong patterns of thinking that keep us stuck. In this 9-week group (Tuesdays, Sept 12- Nov 7), you will discover how to move forward to greater freedom in your life, faith, and future by taking a deeper look at your identity in Christ. Free dinner and free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Freedom session. The Woodbury YTH boys are meeting every Saturday at 10AM at the Starbucks in Kowalskis. We’re studying Daniel, which should take us through to Christmas at which time we’ll switch to whatever is next. The group is mostly targeted at the middle school boys, but we’ll see what it grows into!

Matthew Precept Inductive Bible Study

This will be an 16-week study of the Gospel of Matthew in two parts. Precept is an inductive in-depth Bible study method including self-study and weekly group discussion. It is a global ministry based out of Chattanooga, TN and founded by Jack and Kay Arthur in 1970. Matthew is the first of the four gospels, originally directed to a Jewish Christian audience. Participants should purchase their own workbooks directly from the Precept website at precept.org/Shop/By book of the Bible/New Testament/Matthew/Precept Upon Precept or In-and-Out/ESV or NASB Workbook/Part 1. You can choose either the Precept Upon Precept study requiring about 5 hours of private study time per week ($15.75) or the In-and-Out method requiring about 2.5 hours per week ($12.25). Allow 7-10 days for workbook delivery. Our first meeting on 2/15 will just be group member introductions and a review of the Precept study method. Our first real lesson will be on 2/22.

Do you love to sing and minister to seniors then please join me! Format of time with residents: Bible Verses, What is the Lord whispering to us, Personal related to the passage, Worship song, simple activation activity and prayer time. We will sing one simple hymn, perhaps someone can play the piano or guitar or we can play it on my phone too. Also help needed to engage the residents in a simple 3-minute activity. Lastly, we will pray for the seniors. We will be done by 11:45 as they have lunch at noon.
