YOUTH ONLY TEAM: This Global Team will be traveling to Dubai to support and encourage some of our 500 on the ground. The students will be able to use creative ways to share the love and story of Jesus by photography, video, storytelling, writing, art, etc.

==APPLICATIONS==
The YTH Global Teams will have an application start date of October 8th and a deadline of November 6, 2023. Each student will need to apply separately. Use the Google form to apply Sunday, October 8 - Monday, November 6 which can be found on River Valley Church website on the Youth page or in the parent email that will be sent out the last week of September.
The Google form will be available on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Each student will fill out the form. These teams will not be first-come first-serve but rather students will be placed on teams as part of the application process. We will take in consideration each student’s top choices, but will put priority on juniors and seniors. Teams will be announced at the YTH Global Teams Parent Meeting on November 18th at the Apple Valley Campus at 630PM. Once teams are announced, students will receive a link to fill out a detailed form and pay the deposit.
==PASSPORT==
Once students are placed on a team passports will need to be sent to your Global Team Manager. Passports must not expire within 6 months of return date and must include 3 blank visa pages, not amendment pages. Please send a colored copy of your passport to cassie.gullickson@rivervalley.org. If you do not have a passport, please send confirmation of an ordered passport or confirmation that you have a passport appointment. All passports must be turned in by Monday, February 19, 2024 .

$3,600
DEPOSIT: $200, due when assigned on a team (Students will receive a link to fill out a detailed form and pay the deposit.)
Total Amount Due: $1400, due by Monday, December 11

INCLUDED IN COST: Airfare, food, transportation, Global Team swag gear, international insurance, VISA and a donation to the Missionary Host.
NOT INCLUDED IN COST: Passport fee, expenses not covered by international travel insurance

Must be in 10th grade, 11th grade or 12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year.

- What are YTH Global Teams?
River Valley Church believes in the Next Generation and one of the ways to equip the Next Generation is through Global Teams. Global Teams are one of the ways we are reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
- What are the ages for YTH Global Teams?
For YTH students currently in 10th, 11th or 12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year
- What is the application process?
The Application Form will be available beginning on Sunday, October 8, 2023 and the deadline is November 6, 2023. Each student will need to apply separately. - What is a valid passport and what if I do not have a passport?
Passports must not expire within 6 months of return date and must include 3 blank visa pages, not amendment pages. If you do not have a passport, you will need to prove confirmation of an ordered passport or confirmation that you have a passport appointment.
- What is the cost for a YTH Global Team?
Each YTH Global Team will have a different cost. Once you are added to a team, you will need to pay a $200 non refundable deposit. The remaining balance will then be split into 3 payments unless you have been approved for a Kingdom Builders Scholarship.
- Can I use a Kingdom Builders Scholarship?
The full scholarship is offered every two years. Students can use a Kingdom Builders Scholarship if they meet the qualifications and expectations. The $200 deposit is still required if using the scholarship in order to help pay for leader costs.
- What are the expectations when using a Kingdom Builders Scholarship?

Regularly read and journal S.O.A.P.
Serve regularly on a River Valley Serve Team
Attend all mandatory Global Team Training Meetings
Give regularly to Kingdom Builders (Speed the Light)
Participate in at least one Serve Our Community event (Due by 3rd mtg)
Purchase and complete Live Dead Journal. (Due by 2nd mtg)
Write a one page essay explaining your reason for wanting to go and what you
believe God will do while on this trip (Due by 2nd mtg)
Read and write 1 page summary of Is the Commission Still Great? (Due by 3rd mtg)
Write 1 page essay on the country you will be traveling to (Due by 3rd mtg)
==HEALTH==
Consult your personal physician for recommendations. Visit a travel clinic or check out cdc.gov
==INSURANCE==
Your trip cost covers the expense of purchasing international travel insurance. It is unlikely that insurance would not cover something in a situation. Coverage includes giving each person up to $2,000 coverage if a travel delay, which includes COVID situations in the country. For those that would like a bit more detail, please email us for more information.
==REFUNDS==
If you are unable to travel due to a positive COVID test or other medically related issues, we will do our very best to try and refund or credit you as much as possible but please note, that any expenses that have been pre-paid, pre-spent or are non-recoverable to us will not be able to be refunded or credited back to you.
==GLOBAL TEAMS==
Global Teams are designed to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of a specific community. We believe that command of Christ to go into all the world has not changed but we are certainly aware and respect the many challenges that exist locally and globally. We will absolutely do our best to take all the necessary precautions and work with our missionary hosts to adjust to the local guidelines but where there are needs and requests from our missionary partners and hosts, we want to provide an opportunity for those who are willing and able to go and help meet the needs.
