This is a 5-part video series study, about a Jesus-centered vision-one that restores our freedom and inspires us to live for more. Based on the book, book Free of Me, this study unveils our deepest insecurities and equips us to focus on God and others instead of ourselves. Discover a purpose bigger than "project me" and experience freedom from the burden of self-focus. We will watch a short message, have a good discussion and then pray together. This is a group for women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
Saturday at 8:30 AM
This small group is created for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, who has wrestled with questions such as "God, do you see me?," "God, why are you silent?," "What is the good in this?" This is a safe space to connect with others at River Valley Church who are grieving the loss of loved ones, pray for each other about the difficult and disappointing times we've faced and are continuing to face, and learn to lament in a Biblical way. We will be meeting once or twice a month over coffee and light breakfast. Grief and loss can feel so isolating, but God does not want us to walk it out alone. We would love to walk alongside you and together seek God amidst the joy and sorrow! Kids are welcome to come -- there will be unstructured play time.

This is a safe place to process and pray through child loss and infertility struggles 1 Samuel 1:19-20 Samuel Is Born 19 The family got up early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord. Then they returned to their house in Ramah. Elkanah lay with his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. 20 The Lord made it possible for her to have a child, and when the time came she gave birth to a son. She gave him the name Samuel, saying, “I have asked the Lord for him." Samuel's Hope: A group of prayer warriors believing that God will make it possible for them to have a child. We will be asking God to remember us, just as he did Hannah in 1 Samuel, and to bring us a child. This group was created to be a source of encouragement, prayer support, and safe place to share. It's for women who have a desire to have children, but are facing obstacles. It's a place where we as women will stand together and ask God to make it possible. We will ask God to remember us and give us sons and daughters to raise to honor Him. The plan - to commit every Monday to a time in prayer for each other

This book covers how to live a life of love, freedom and peace instead of being overwhelmed and overcommitted. Jesus paid the price for us to be free of ourselves and we will see how His word offers hope and a way to discover His plan for our lives.
We are looking for people who love to cook and bless others with meals who can be part of Shakopee Campus's Meal Train Ministry! From time to time, we receive requests for Meal Trains to be organized for families who are transitioning with a new baby in their home, for those who are recovering from illnesses, or those who are overwhelmed with life's challenges or a recent family death. Do you love to cook and want to use your culinary talents to bless others in this way? Then join our Meal Train Ministry to be added to the email list and get notified when meals are needed for a Shakopee Campus family! Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus!

You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands.

Hello! We meet at River Valley Shakopee on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30am. Starting Sep. 12, we will start a new book series discussing John Mark Comer's book 'The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy and Spiritually Alive in the Chaos of the Modern World". Here is the synopsis: --- “Who am I becoming?” That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: “Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life.” It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was—and continues to be—the answer he needs. Too often we treat the symptoms of toxicity in our modern world instead of trying to pinpoint the cause. A growing number of voices are pointing at hurry, or busyness, as a root of much evil. Within the pages of this book, you’ll find a fascinating roadmap to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Our aim is to allow the word of God to transform our minds and our hearts in fellowship with a community of believers looking for the same.
